If you're wondering what I've been up to since last year, head over to my SoundCloud page. I've been working on a series of "electronic Christian meditation" pieces as well as some iPad NanoStudio collaborations and miscellaneous other projects. So far I haven't collected enough for a new album release but I'm not rushing it. Right now, I'm just having fun with the creative process.

Old's Cool

The fourth album from multiinstrumentalist Jim Hanks takes a different direction than all his previous efforts. You want old school jazz? This aint it. This EP-length eclectic jazz collection explores music written in or for an earlier time but re-imagined for the 21st century. Dedication

The third album from multiinstrumentalist Jim Hanks returns to the eclectic jazz roots of  the debut "Everlasting, Wonderful, Immanuel", in contrast with the vocally-oriented "Elyon's Worship Instrument". The almost entirely instrumental "Dedication" features electric wind instrument (EWI) in many guises as well as recorders, harmonicas, and a myriad of software-based instrumentation to produce a rich and varied collection. Among the 15 tracks, you'll find smooth jazz, funk, blues, ballads, latin, and more, for an eclectic mix of over 70 minutes of music.

Elyon's Worship Instrument

The second album from multiinstrumentalist Jim Hanks takes a dramatically different turn from the debut "Everlasting, Wonderful, Immanuel". While still heavily featuring electric wind instrument (EWI), "Elyon's Worship Instrument" also adds Biblically-based lyrics, solid songwriting and heartfelt vocals. Three instrumental tracks and eleven vocal tracks range from smooth jazz to heavy rock with several stops in between, combining to produce an eclectic worship experience for the contemporary church.
